My eLearning research logbook is intended to keep  records and provide a structure for recording detail related to supervisory meetings and activities  toward the project, paper and ePortfolio. This logbook is developed within my ePortfolio,  the consequence being that it will help my supervisor  and I to gauge, plan and chart evidence of progress.

Meeting 11/12/12

December 12, 2012
In today’s meeting Roisin and I discussed the upcoming presentation, the project plan was also discussed and we agreed that more research needs to be carried out in the area of eResource application development, specifically focusing on the final development of the learning resources and there ease of use, compatibility and harmonisation with the final electronic, electrical and maths artefacts. The construction of the resource artefacts will commence in late December. The working parts of the electronics, electrical and maths app will be assembled, tested and finished in January. The resource will be instigated with the Target group in late January, early February. Post course data will be collected in February. In February and March I will evaluate post course data, carry out analysis and preparation of final paper for submission.

Watching the presentations from my colleagues on the course proved very fruitful, the standards of presentation was very high, I also got plenty of new ideas as regards presentation software, Edel’s Xtranormal story telling software worked well and Angela’s use of sliderocket was very professional, as was Clare’s use of Slideshare.

After viewing the use on animation, it is something I will think seriously about for my own application development.

Adding interactivity is another area that will call for my attention; the Presentations gave me plenty to think about and a lot of new ideas.

It was mentioned that it was important to ask the students how beneficial would the provision of an app be, and where and how would they see themselves using it.

My research propos...
