Had some issues publishing the resource to a  Yola website and getting the apps to open, after much correspondence and numerous attempts, created a website:      http://markmaguire.yolasite.com/                           Everything opens, the apps open from Learning bus.com and link to my dropbox site.

Hi Roisin,

Hope your keeping well,
I am having a lot of difficulty putting my eResource and WIP presentation ( both are made in Articulate)  on Yola, I know it’s possible to do it because the Child Obesity project opens up fine in Yola,

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7254603/child%20obesity%20-%20a%20guide%20for%20parents%20%28combined%20course%29/player.html

But I can’t get the link where I have my resource saved in Dropbox to open up in this form

 the link is

https://www.dropbox.com/home/WIP%20Presentation%20-%20Presenter%20output

and the resource is

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/77p8r2hxvd3iurs/AADiKLkWior6RqwiN6svfeJna?dl=0

https://www.dropbox.com/home/29.5.15%20-%20Presenter%20output?preview=presentation_html5.html

I think it can be opened by changing the address using https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com

I have contacted Yola and Dropbox about this and being given the run-around, it would be a great help if anyone at DIT can remember how we did this.

Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,

I checked with Claire, our EPortfolio tutor, and she has said the following:

"looking at Mark’s links via Dropbox I don’t think the issue is with Yola itself. Dropbox seems to be only able to give access to the file rather than loading and displaying the file.

I’ve looked online and it says that the content needs to be in the Dropbox “Public” folder – I don’t think he can make any folder and share; it needs to be this public one. Sharing permissions need to be public."

See if this helps at all Mark.
